Spell-Mell calls for quick thinking...

At each level of a quiz, you are given five picture clues or five word clues, and space for the answer. Here’s a word clue, with its answer space partly filled in:

And here are some picture clues. When a letter appears in the animation (right), click any space where you think it can go:

If you click correctly, your letter is added to the word you clicked, and to any other words in which it appears. Because you correctly clicked the d in panda, you also get the d in bird. In this way, what you do know helps you figure out what you don’t know!

A correct click also earns you points. The faster you click, the more points are added to your score!

Includes 17 game modules for you to enjoy!

Six modules are fully playable even in the light version of the game — including the illustrated 300-word foreign vocabulary quiz (Vocab Pack Number 1), an illustrated Alphabet Quiz for younger children, an Animals Trivia Quiz, and an assortment of brain-teasing word games.

The light version also lets you try out the first level of the remaining game modules, including four word and trivia games created especially for Spell-Mell by Internet puzzle-master Michael Curl.

You can also create your own Spell-Mell game modules using SLED, the Spell-Mell List Editor, or obtain new modules from our web-site or from other users as they become available. You can play the first level of modules from these sources even before you register.
